An accepting learning environment
At DDP, we try very hard to set-up an accepting learning environment. We recognize some of those joining our Basic Education Project have never before attended school. The students in Kampot took that to a whole new level this week by welcoming a new student.
Some of the little kids were picking on the poor pup while the students were on their afternoon break. Our student would not stand for it and intervened to protect the pup.
Of course, the logical thing to do is to weigh the puppy. The students were guessing how much he weighed before scavenging the classroom for the bowl and scale. He was a healthy 7 kg.
It was great to see our students setting a good example for the little kids and treating pup kindly.
