Unique Challenges
The Deaf Development Programme faces some unique challenges in providing our services – things more developed nations may not consider. Take for example rain. This morning, we experiences torrential downpours from around 4am until maybe 7am with continued rain for another two hours. Our main office was flooded with three inches of water or so (the pictures below are about two hours after the most intense flooding, just some mopping is needed. As you can see from the pictures, the street is still more of a river.
At our Deaf Community Centre, Field Worker Sopheap practically had to swim to get to work.
