Women’s Football Tournament
Scoring a goal–for the opposition
Earlier this month, the Phnom Penh deaf men finished up a ten-week football league that was quite successful. The women footballers had been practicing but didn’t have a league. To give them a reason to practice, today we held a women’s football tournament with four teams, two from the Phnom Penh deaf women and two from the Catholic Church Students Center. It was an all-day affair and there were a lot of tired young women at the end, but it was a great experience that brought the deaf and hearing players together. Here is a picture of one of the goals scored by a CCSC team.
